For Oxford students
The brief is waiting when you sit down: where your student actually is, their board's own specification text, and real past-paper questions with mark schemes. Read it, then teach. That is the whole job.
The second hour
The second one is invisible and nobody counts it. Finding the right past paper. Re-reading a specification you last opened for your own exams. Spending the first fifteen minutes of the lesson working out what your student doesn't know yet.
That hour is the one we take. You keep the one you were paid for, and you get your evening back.
It is also the hour that makes tutoring hard to fit around a degree. Take it away and a session stops being an afternoon.
What you get
Scheduling, payment, invoicing and chasing all sit with us. Your part of the job is the hour you spend teaching.
Flat, and identical for every tutor. It means nobody undercuts you, and the conversation with a parent stays about their child.
Once their board is covered, you know which clauses are solid and which are shaky before they say a word, so the first fifteen minutes go on teaching. We're rolling this out board by board, starting with Edexcel A-Level Maths.
We're building continuity notes that carry forward what you covered and what comes next, so the second session picks up where the first ended.
You sat A-Levels. We're extending the syllabus map system by system — Edexcel A-Level Maths first — so tutors will eventually cover the Abitur, the IB and Selectividad too: several times the students, no new revision.
An OxMenti tutor reference, backed by real session and outcome data.
What the AI doesn't do
The prep pack maps, retrieves and cites. It doesn't teach, doesn't mark student work unsupervised, and every pack is yours to override — you know your student; it only knows their syllabus.
Every specification clause it quotes is verified against the source document before it reaches you. If we can't verify it, we don't show it.
Set your weekly availability and students book around it — around tutorials, deadlines and term. Take one session a term or one a week; tutor elsewhere as well if you already do. Payment is a flat rate per session, the same for every tutor, and it reaches your bank once the session is done — we'll put the figure in front of you when you apply, and you'll never send an invoice.
